The catch: none of the three does the audit

All three prepare you for SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA and hand evidence to an auditor you pay separately. If you want one contract for both, look at Thoropass, which is a licensed CPA firm.

What to check before you choose

  • Headcount. Vanta's list price stops at 20 employees; Drata's covers up to 50.
  • Frameworks. Each entry plan starts with one framework. Ask the price of your second before you sign.
  • Modules. Vanta sells Trust Center ($6,000) and vendor risk ($13,600) as add-ons on its AWS listing.
